Description

OPTIONS / NOTABLE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT / MODIFICATIONS FROM ORIGINAL:

This 71 year-old beauty is in amazing condition for its age. Over the past half-dozen years virtually all components (listed and rated above) have been replaced or rebuilt, with the vast majority of the work done at Performance Powertrain in Lethbridge, with all documentation and costs available. Prior to the current owner\'s purchase, the seats and headliner were replaced; the body, wheel wells and rocker panels were prepped and painted; the front and rear bumpers were re-chromed; a new gas tank was installed; along with a new carburetor, tires, wheels and wheel covers. Modifications at Performance Powertrain included .08 over-boring of cylinders and adding of fuel-filter system to engine, and installing of a new reproduction radio with speakers and antenna.

INTERESTING / IMPORTANT VEHICLE HISTORY AND SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS:

Bought by the current owner in 2018, almost all restoration work was done in 2018-19. Since then the vehicle has been stored indoors with cover and driven fewer than 1000 miles, mainly to local car shows and car club cruises around town. The vehicle has an Appraisal, done by Classic Auto Appraisals in Lethbridge in December 2018, with the appraised value at $35,000, which is supported by cost documents at Performance Powertrain and the original purchase price, which total over $33,000. The car is currently insured by Hagerty Insurance at $28,000.The only work remaining to be done by the new owner includes side window trim/liner kits and new front split windshields.

ANY ADDITIONAL PARTS, ACCESSORIES OR DOCUMENTS TO BE INCLUDED WITH SALE:

The car presently has 14-inch wheels, tires and covers, which are not the original size for the 1951 Chevrolet, which came with 15 wheels. 5 button Chevrolet hubcaps 3 beauty rings and 3 15-inch wheel rims come with the purchase, should the new owner decide to go to original wheel size.
