Seller purchased this vehicle in the UK a few years ago and have recently imported it into Canada. It has just undergone an Out of Province inspection at the local Land Rover specialist (TRS Automotive), and is now fully registered and on the road in Alberta. Seats 6 people, with the option for a 7th if the center storage box is swapped for a seat (7 seatbelts are installed). Once nice thing about these Defenders is that they are very versatile, and you can easily remove different body panels to suit your need. The body was painted with the doors, sides and roof removed so that it could be configured either open ‘safari’ style, or with a closed top and doors. It is now also 25 years old so qualifies for a ‘Historic’ license plate.

Prior to seller purchasing the vehicle, it had undergone significant mechanical work, including: New rear cross member installed. Adjustable Dixon Bate tow pack added. Reconditioned gearbox and clutch assembly. Low mileage 200TDi engine installed. New rear heavy duty shock absorbers and springs. Since I have owned the vehicle I have done the following: Added NAS style reversing and fog lights. Swapped all 8 round lights for more modern ‘clear’ lenses with coloured bulbs. Added tinted and sliding rear windows. New rear seats. New rear seat belts. New front seat covers. New front side seatbelts.

Installed sound deadener in front cockpit. Complete insulation kit for the interior. Complete new carpet kit for the interior. New front heavy duty shock absorbers. New front brake pads. New rear door interior trim. New rear door handle. Added Checker plate to the hood. Welded in new bulkhead. Painted the checker plate and roof gloss black. Painted the body metallic silver. Painted the wheels charcoal. These Defenders have a great towing / load carrying capacity. It weighs about 1750kg, which means it can carry up to 650kg inside, as well as tow a trailer weighing up to 3500kgs! See the VIN plate for these values. This is a Right Hand Drive vehicle.
